After three weeks of dealing with computer problems, I am finally back! Thank You, Jesus!
For the first two weeks, I was without a computer. And the last week, I found myself ordering several new parts and dealing with closing out 2014.
Indeed, we at Walking In Truth Ministry are starting out anew in so many ways. In Isaiah 43:19, the Word of the Lord says - "Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." We are standing on this promise from God - expecting great things in return. He is forever faithful!
In Psalm 16:7, David said - "I will bless the LORD, Who hath given me counsel ..." In my time away from the computer, the Lord shared with me three specific directives for His people for 2015. In this Update, I will share them with you. I ask that you would prayerfully consider each one - as indeed being from Him.
They are as follows:
1. Pay Attention to the Manifestation of His Name
Isaiah 63:1 says - "Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save."
If we were to ask you what Name of the Lord seemed to be prominent in your life during 2014, what would your answer be?
Perhaps, as you look back over the year, you can see that Jesus was manifested as Jehovah Rapha - your Healer... Jehovah Jireh - your Provider...Jehovah Shalom - your Peace in the midst of the storm...or as Lord of Sabaoth - fighting to bring you justice.
Last Sunday, while in worship at the church that I attend, the Holy Spirit gave me a "new song." As others were singing in the Spirit and worshipping the Lord, a "new song" rose up in my heart - causing me to sing - "Mighty to save! Mighty to save! You are mighty to save!"
I didn't think much of this until this past week - when the Lord began to draw my attention to these words. He then made me aware of the fact that this "new song" was actually prophetic - speaking of how He would specifically manifest Himself to His Church in the upcoming year - 2015.
"Who is this...?" "Who is this...that is glorious in apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength...?"
Isaiah saw God as the avenger of His people. He saw Him coming to His people as a Champion - a triumphant conqueror - marching in great stateliness and majesty - as the mighty God - the Almighty - none other than the Lord JESUS Christ - exhibiting in His movements indomitable strength - having all power in heaven and in earth in His hands.
"Who is this...?...I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save."
Isaiah saw the LORD as being "mighty" in His own revealed grace and power - "able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him." (Hebrews 7:25) He saw Him "speaking in righteousness" - meaning that He - Whose every word is holy, just, and true - would make good every word that He had spoken. He would bring about redemption as He had promised.
In 2015, pay close attention to this particular Name of God - "mighty to save." In this year, you are going to see the Lord JESUS manifest Himself on your behalf and on the behalf of your children, grandchildren, family members, friends, communities, and nations as such. He and He alone has the power to accomplish salvation. There is no limit to the power of His saving grace. Whatever difficulties and opposition may stand in the way, He will deliver you or your loved one out of the hand of the oppressor.
Place all your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord as being - "mighty to save" - and then watch and see what He does on your behalf!
2. Don't Forget that You are in a Race
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says - "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things...I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."
In 2015, you will be required to give up some things. They may even be "lawful" things. But due to the lateness of the hour in which we are living, they will have to go!
You are in a race. Some of you are just beginning; others are nearing the finish line.
More than ever, the Lord is calling for a greater commitment... perseverance...self-control, self-mastery, and self-discipline... as well as a clearly defined goal, definiteness of purpose, and a striving for truth and wise living.
Be especially on the lookout for - activities that waste your time and energy... relationships that drain you emotionally...and pleasures that render you spiritually weak. By the grace of God, make whatever changes you need to make - allowing nothing to hinder you in your race.
Not one of us knows when our race will be over. Our son John received a text message last night - saying that a fellow co-worker (that he had just seen on Wednesday) went to be with the Lord. This Christian man worked his full shift on Thursday, went home, and shortly afterwards died unexpectedly that evening.
In 2015, don't forget that you are in a race! "...So run, that ye may obtain." (1 Corinthians 9:24)
3. Know What Time It Is
Ecclesiastes 3:1-7 says - "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven...a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted...a time to break down, and a time to build up...A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together...A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away...a time to keep silence, and a time to speak..."
God has an eternal plan for your life. He has predetermined seasons for everything. He has a fixed time for every happening.
It is imperative that you give yourself - like never before - as a "living sacrifice" to Him - allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way. In 2015, be careful not to be out of His will and miss His timing and purpose for your life.
If you are one who is given to comparing yourself with others, ask the Lord for the grace to stop this. The Scriptures admonish us with these words - "For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." (2 Corinthians 10:12)
In order to see how foolish comparing yourself with others is, consider this - it may be a "time to keep" for your neighbor or friend; whereas for you, it is a "time to cast away." You will totally miss God's will for your life if you are always looking over your shoulder to see what others are doing.
You are unique. God has a specific plan for you! Keep your ears open to His counsel for your life - no matter what others do!
Once again, here are the directives that God gave me for His people for 2015 -
- Pay Attention to the Manifestation of His Name
- Don't Forget that You are in a Race
- Know What Time It Is
At the start of 2015, we - at Walking In Truth Ministry - are asking you to prayerfully consider becoming a financial supporter to this ministry.
I believe that the Lord has spoken to many of you to do so.
Some of you He has blessed abundantly, and it would not be a sacrifice to give. For others, it may take a "step of faith."
Whatever the case may be, I know that the Lord will bless you over and above what you could ever imagine or think.
Just respond to His "call." It is your obedience that unlocks the blessing that you so desperately need at this time.
For those of you who faithfully give, may the Lord God Almighty return your faithfulness with a Great Harvest of blessings.
