Is it any wonder that our society is so messed up?
"Looking in the Bible is like looking in a mirror. It reveals us as God sees us, the way a mirror reveals how others see us, not how we think we appear to them." (Ed Wood - Sermon Central)
"In the mirror of God's Word, we can see where we need to change, and we allow God to re-align our hearts with His." (Michael Youssef)
In James 1:23-25, the Apostle James presents the Word of God as a mirror.
He draws the contrast between the forgetful hearer of the Word and the steady doer of God's Word, using the mirror analogy to prove his point.
How foolish it is to look at yourself in the mirror, see something is amiss, and then do nothing about it. Just as foolish is it to look in the mirror of God's Word, see a flaw, but do nothing about it.
A survey from 2021 found that 11% of Americans read the Bible daily. That tells us that very few are looking in the mirror of God's Word to see if they have any flaws or need to be transformed - spiritually speaking.
Hearing of that shocking report, we then must ask ourselves, how many Preachers are actually placing the mirror of God's Word before the hearts of the listeners?
Here is my new video.
Take the time to watch this stirring message from God's Word.
You will be so glad that you did.
